Jean, and I want to welcome ya’ll to Mississippi. Mississippi Good Sams got it’s feet on the ground back in 1970’s when Buddy & Mary Hinson decided it was time to gather together the folks in our great state that loved to RV. The first chapter to be developed in October 1977 was the Gulf Island Good Sam group whom still are going strong in 2012. Today there are 29 chapters scattered across the state of Mississippi. Each year the State organization hosts two Samborees, one in the southern end of the state and the other in the northern end of the state. These gatherings bring together RVing friends from all over Mississippi and from many other locations across North America. Bonds of friendship are forged that would never had come about but for the Good Sam Club. Our chapters hold monthly camp-outs, so do not wait for a Samboree to come camping with our Mississippi folks. Somewhere in the state today we have a group enjoying the wonderful life of RVing. Please plan to come join in and share in our southern hospitality. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Mississippi Good Sam organization, please contact any of our staff or one of the Chapter Presidents. If you are already a member, we look forward to seeing you soon at one of our functions. |
